As an Electronic Systems Engineer, you will be a key member of the  Electrical Engineering group, in the Infotainment and Intelligent Systems team. You are a highly motivated and self-initiating engineer that will collaborate closely with key suppliers in the latest transit technologies, including Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Infotainment, Networking / Connectivity, Diagnostics and Analytics, On-board and Off-board communications, Object Detection and Collision Avoidance, Surveillance, and more.

You will utilize excellent troubleshooting and root cause analyses to quickly identify, mitigate, and implement corrective actions, ensuring  vehicles are completed on-schedule and with utmost quality. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, highly-technical, hands-on environment, and is a forward thinker that does not settle for mediocrity, but pursues significant continuous improvements to make the  product the best in industry.


  • Design and integrate low-voltage electrical and electronic systems.
  • Develop design and product specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups, including Sales, Purchasing and Manufacturing.
  • Build strong working relationships with key vendors to develop OEM-based designs and installations.
  • Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in specified key technologies, such as networking, diagnostics, analytics, and connectivity.
  • Devise and manage project plans that complete on-time, within budget, and with utmost quality.
  • Provide technical support to production staff, with respect to electrical integration.
  • Interface with suppliers to facilitate root cause analyses and eliminate repetitive design and quality issues before they arrive 



  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering for a manufacturing company. Experience in automotive manufacturing is a plus.
  • Proficient in low voltage electrical system design and integration.
  • Proficient in networking, connectivity, data acquisition and analytics, and diagnostic systems related to electrical systems. Specific application in transit is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in on-board automotive communication (J1939, Automotive Ethernet, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable in off-board radio and wireless communications.
  • Knowledgeable in electrical harness design, including ampacity derating and over-current protection.
  • Experience in product specification development. Application in automotive is a plus.
  • Experience in project planning and management, with a demonstrated ability to complete projects on-time, within budget, and with utmost quality.
  • Experience in 8D problem solving and FMEA methodologies.
  • Proficient with 2D CAD software (i.e. AutoCAD, Aucotec). 3D CAD (i.e. Inventor) experience is a plus.
