International automotive supplier of components has immediate need for an Operations Manager (number 2 in the plant) for their well established plant in beautiful New Hampshire--Must have a degree and a strong background in production management or operations management in a large manufacturing plant.
 

Position responsible for the supervision and management of all aspects of the production area including scheduling, quality, utilization of equipment, staffing, training and operations within specific budgets.  The position coordinates operation activities with Commercial Sales Group and Global Partners.

 

OPERATIONS MANAGER - ASHLAND

Your Tasks

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages staff to assure goals and objectives are being achieved; maximum use of equipment and labor
  •  Reviews customer commitments with production staff to assure world-class quality and on time delivery of products.  Identifies problem areas and sets course of corrective action.
  •  Works with Engineering to improve technical designs, products and product flow.
  •  Plans for further cell manufacturing.
  • Works with Quality department to assure all processes are in control and works on new projects to assure timely start up.
  • Works with Human Resources to establish reasonable labor resources and set up training programs concerning orientations and safety.
  • Works with Commercial Sales and Global Partners to strategically plan out positive operation activity.
  • Participate and support in safety and ergonomic programs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical or business discipline required. MBA is preferred 
  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Thorough knowledge of all facets of the production business unit
  • Leadership qualities to achieve the full backing of staff to meet objectives
  • Good people skills
  • Understanding of objectives and follow through
