Great opportunity at well established manufacturer of products used in the building trades.

Responsible for driving sales and market share growth. Analyzes market opportunities and develops plans to gain share and/or enter new markets - leveraging Core Competencies - including comprehensive product line strategies, product lifecycle management, new product development, integrated marketing strategies, merchandising, advertising and promotional programs. Creative, proactive, customer-oriented and driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment. Possess self-initiative and the ability to influence others to deliver results. Uses effective interpersonal and presentation/communication skills to drive execution across various stakeholder groups.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and drives market strategies to grow sales and market share of existing and new product lines in both established and new markets
  • Determines customers' needs and wants by conducting research needed to obtain market information. Consolidates the resulting information into actionable items, reports, and presentations
  • Identifies, collects and analyses data to support business case proposals for the development of new and improved products or the rationalization of existing products
  • Understands business objectives to determine relevant data to be collected
  • Determines product pricing models by utilizing market research data; reviewing production costs and anticipated volume
  • Analyzes key competitors’ market offerings, pricing/business models, sales volumes, trending metrics and customer base composition
  • Advertising and communications - Focuses efforts on product-specific communications and value propositions for new product launches including full line literature, digital media and other forms of communication
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies
  • Remains fully informed of general market and economic trends and applies derived information to assist  leadership in the formulation of short and long-term business planning
  • Monitors and forecasts  sales trends
  • Measures the effectiveness of marketing and advertising programs and strategies
  • Catalogs applicable Codes, laws, regulations and Patents
  • Ability and willingness for up to 20% domestic travel
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities: None


  • Prior experience in a marketing or product management role with consumer durable, commercial or industrial products is required
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Internet search engines, Web analytics, and social media
  • Working knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys, etc.)
  • Financial literacy including P&L fluency
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Competent product knowledge and a desire to interact and thoroughly understand the product requirements of intermediate and terminal customers

Education and/or Experience:

  • BS degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering; MBA a plus; 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Relevant experience in the building trades’ industry and specifically industries affiliated with water and other liquid distribution (piping) systems is strongly preferred
